SYNOPSIS

As if it was happening today… As early as 1993, Expulsion followed and recorded the humiliating process of how the Hungarian MDF government, out of their sheer voluntary zeal (then still lacking the necessary legislation) forcefully repatriated those “economic” refugees to Romania who had slipped across the Austrian “green” border zone and were captured subsequently. The film received Amnesty International’s Tolerance Award.
