SYNOPSIS

Since 2011, the director has been tracking the subjects of his earlier documentary ‘Living among Us’ (2003). A relation that has been strengthened between him and the film’s characters over the years helped him to carry his small camera and equipment to start a journey that traces their daily life, and to document through two generations the declining of the social, political and economic situation over the most inflamed 13 years in Egypt modern history, specially during the last ten years of Mubarak’s regime, then the emergence of a glimmering hope with the 25th of January’s revolution, followed by the assassination of the dream and the confusion prevailing until this day. The film opens a thorny files like: Woman, Politics& Why the young men in that region are trying to find a way to join ISIS (Da’esh or ISIL).
