“This is an art that starts with the eyes. You open it, you see something, your brain comprehends it, you push the button, and in the end, it becomes a photograph or it does not. It is really important to me and I cannot stop thinking about what makes a simple photo a good one.”
The 53-minute documentary is a journey through Vilmos’s private life via the exhibition and his most compelling photographs. It is captured by his “second family” in Hungary, who were able to open up and tell Vilmos’s story in a way that has never been done before. Since Vilmos is the one who guides the audience through the story, we get a sense of his unwearied, vibrant, honest, and humorous character.
