In a ViseAlmási Tamás - 94'
The film closely monitors the crisis of the Ózdi Steel Works—one of the Hungarian working class’s citadels. The factory moved into the focus of attention at the time when Hungary was aiming to become the country of iron and steel. As a consequence of the management’s inflexibility and the lack of necessary investments, the factory of success became outdated by the beginning of the 1980s, the products were unsaleable, and some of the workers were made redundant. In the film, we can witness the phases of degradation through the fates of three workers and a manager.
